About the Role
We are seeking a Staff-level DevOps Engineer to take a strategic and hands-on role in assessing and improving infrastructure within a cloud-based investment management environment. This is more than just an execution-focused role — it requires a strong architectural mindset, an ability to guide best practices, and a passion for elevating DevOps standards across the organization.

In this role, you will work closely with the development team to assess the current DevOps landscape and help design a clear, scalable roadmap. The focus will be on automating DB schema updates, enhancing database backup strategies, improving logging and monitoring systems, and reviewing the current usage of AWS services (including S3).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and assess the current DevOps environment to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and drive the implementation of scalable and automated DevOps practices.
  • Enhance and automate database schema updating and backup strategies.
  • Improve observability through centralized logging and monitoring.
  • Provide AWS architectural reviews and improve technical documentation.
  • Coach the dev team on DevOps best practices and build internal capability.

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in senior or staff-level DevOps roles.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
  • Proven ability to evaluate infrastructure and design robust DevOps strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
  • Strong familiarity with AWS architecture and documentation standards.
  • Availability to work noon to 4/5 pm ET.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Windows endpoint management.
  • Mac fleet management (e.g., Jamf).
