Develop core robotic software for control, manipulation, and sensing, integrating AI capabilities for autonomous robots. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and optimize systems for reliability and performance.
About Nimble
Nimble is a frontier robotics and AI company building the next era of autonomous logistics. We design, manufacture, and deploy intelligent robots that enable fast, efficient, and sustainable commerce at global scale. Our team is building generalized robot intelligence and developing the world’s first generalist super-humanoid robots capable of performing all core warehouse workflows with superhuman performance.
We recently closed a $106M Series C at a $1B valuation, and we are continuing to grow our world-class team. Our long-term vision is to create the Autonomous Supply Chain—reinventing how goods move through factories, warehouses, and last-mile distribution using next-generation intelligent robotic systems.
Nimble was founded out of Stanford and Carnegie Mellon’s top AI labs and is backed by the world’s most prestigious investors. Our board includes iconic leaders in AI and robotics such as Marc Raibert (Founder of Boston Dynamics), Fei-Fei Li (Former Chief Scientist of AI at Google, Director of Stanford’s AI lab), and Sebastian Thrun (Waymo, Founder of Google X, Kitty Hawk, and Udacity).
Join us and leave your mark on the future of robotics, AI, and global commerce.

This role is about creating the software that allows robots to perform useful tasks at scale, from coordinating behaviors to integrating with enterprise systems, working closely with robotics engineers, ML engineers, multi-robot coordination teams and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the architecture of critical application systems, integrations, and orchestration frameworks that power production robotics
- Identify, propose, and launch high-impact technical initiatives that improve system reliability, scalability, or developer efficiency
- Proactively uncover gaps or opportunities in system performance, architecture, or workflows, and drive solutions from concept to production
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and long-term technical roadmaps for the robotics application stack
- Drive engineering best practices across the team by producing high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Work cross-functionally with robotics engineers, ML engineers, multi-robot coordination teams, infrastructure teams, and product teams to set technical direction and align long-term priorities
- Mentor and develop engineers across the organization; provide technical leadership through design reviews and hands-on guidance
- Triage product or robotics system issues to ensure reliability of production robotics systems; Serve as an escalation point during on-call rotations, guiding diagnosis and recovery during critical system incidents
Qualifications
