We are seeking a Staff Research Scientist / Principal Deep Learning Scientist to advance cutting-edge AI research. In this senior individual contributor role, you will lead technical innovation and shape research strategies across the team.
The ideal candidate demonstrates deep curiosity and proven experience at leading AI labs. You have hands-on expertise with neural networks and applied AI research, and you are ready to take initiative and contribute directly to building and deploying models.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of AI models that power all components of the trading strategy end-to-end across global markets
- tackle the ultimate real world AI benchmark of predicting the future — “solving” the financial markets — through understanding how deep neural networks work under the context of extremely noisy, world wide diverse and constantly changing dependencies.
- Shape research direction and elevate team capability through your expertise and insights.
- Engage in all stages of research, from ideation to deployment, ensuring full integration of the new research into production systems.
Requirements
- Senior/Staff/Principal Researcher at a top-tier AI lab or faculty member (Professor/Lecturer) at a leading AI research institution (e.g., Stanford, Berkeley, CMU, MIT, Mila, ETH, UofT, Oxford, UCL, NYU, Princeton).
- Expertise in competitive, application-driven AI domains is preferred: LLMs, reasoning architectures, generative modalities (e.g., video), or mechanistic interpretability.
- Motivated by research depth and impact, with a focus on making meaningful contributions to the team and the broader field
