Who You’ll Be Joining:
Generac Energy Technologies is dedicated to delivering revolutionary Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS) for our residential customers to improve comfort, cost savings, and energy durability. Generac is looking for a motivated Staff Program Manager with insatiable curiosity to help support and manage our next generation energy management solutions. You’ll work with a cross functional team of engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers to turn product concepts into reality.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
As a Staff Program Manager at Generac, HEMS organization, you will:
- Own, develop, and lead adoption of HEMS product development processes and guidelines for effective delivery management.
- Lead Program strategy and partner with project managers across Generac businesses to effectively deliver cross-business products & services.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate decision-making and negotiations across diverse groups, including executives and technical teams. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Work across Generac and HEMS leadership and stakeholders to establish and align on commitments to annual plans, quarterly OKRs, and portfolio management.
- Develop, communicate, and maintain program roadmaps.
- Ensure teams are held accountable to program schedule, delivery management, quality, program outcomes, and operations.
- Effectively prioritize and execute on program outcomes.
- Partner with program leadership team to manage risks, and share status updates to leadership team.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- You have previous experience in an staff-level Program Management role that's required you to work across multiple businesses and business units.
- 8+ years of experience working directly with software engineering teams
- Bonus: This experience includes projects with hardware and firmware elements
- You have worked with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- You are comfortable in a highly technical environment and can understand the nuances of technical decisions
- You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and high stakes environment
- Experience establishing new processes that are sustainable for the team
- You are a smart, curious, and analytical person with a bias for action

Interview Process (3 Stages):
- Round 1: A 45-minute phone call with a member of Talent Acquisition
- Round 2: A 60-minute virtual interview with our Director of Program Management and a Senior Program Manager
- Round 3: A 60-minute virtual interview with one of our senior Program Managers, and one Director/VP from Product or Engineering
