Position: Staff Product Manager
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Drive the product lifecycle from requirements definition, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other launch efforts. Work with engineering and data science teams to define targeting and measurement methodologies, data requirements, APIs, and UX. Conduct industry and competitive analysis to understand the emerging trends in the advertising industry and identify new opportunities. Conduct customer research to define customer segments and identify needs to inform the product roadmaps. Partner with internal advertising sales teams and Walmart retail teams to create unique, compelling experiences that benefit shoppers and Walmart’s advertising clients. Develop and enhance products through product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and evaluate risks. Define vision and strategies for assigned product family. Leverage domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identify market opportunities, build business cases, and approve objectives. Build collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership. Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Management, or related area and 5 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Management, or related area and 7 years of experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience with one of the following: Sponsored Products, Advertising Technology, or Performance Marketing Technology. Experience with Personalization, Analytics, and Machine Learning (ML) product development. Experience advising business partners using detailed analysis. Experience gathering, identifying, defining, and communicating requirements. Experience building web applications and platform applications. Experience executing primary and secondary research to determine market trends, execute competition analysis, determine market size, and create revenue estimations. Experience creating business cases for new product development, estimating the revenue potential, estimating future cash flows, and executing return on investment analysis. Experience building product strategies and roadmaps and go-to-market strategies. Experience building advertising APIs, building solutions for onboarding experiences, and building for scale. Experience querying data from relational databases using SQL. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $157,636/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
