Role Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager to oversee and enhance our payments product experience. This role involves managing the integration with various payment providers across multiple countries and ensuring a seamless, efficient, and secure payment experience for our users. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in the payments industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards achieving strategic goals. 

What You Will Be Doing:  

  • Develop and articulate a strategic vision for the payments product experience. 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs. 
  • Define and manage the product roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and customer requirements. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, operations, and other teams to deliver outstanding payment solutions. 
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with payment providers and partners. 
  • Lead integration projects with external payment providers, ensuring timely and successful implementation. 
  • Ensure the payments product complies with all relevant regulations and industry standards. 

What You Need for This Role:  

  • Experience as a product manager in software technology development with a proven track record of successfully managing payment products and integrations in a global context. 
  • Deep understanding of payment flows, reconciliation & settlement, and payments challenges in markets with unbanked populations like Africa. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making. 
  • Translate market analysis into coherent product strategies, prioritization frameworks, and requirements that engineering and cross-functional teams can execute against. 
  • Ability to work across team and functional boundaries, influence without authority, and create clarity and simplicity from ambiguity and complexity. 
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable clear articulation of vision, strategy, and execution, maintaining regular, healthy communication with the leadership team to ensure efficient and aligned decision-making and execution. 
  • Experience in entrepreneurial technology environments; familiarity with experimentation frameworks, techniques, and measurement tools. 
  • Ability to creatively problem solve, balance risk, effort, and impact in your decision-making.
