GRAI is a social music app out of Warsaw, still in alpha. We're building new ways to listen and respond through music — the social parts, the ones that only happen when there are people on both ends. This is a Staff-level, hands-on role. You'll own the interaction craft at the core of the product, set the bar as the team grows, and have a huge amount of room to define work almost nobody has done before.
What you'd doDesign the signature interaction patterns at the heart of the product, and use motion to make sticky flows feel clear and alive.
Turn rough feature concepts into scalable UX and finished, production-quality interfaces.
Build and own a flexible design system that keeps prototyping and iteration fast as we scale.
Prototype early and often, so we can test big, ambitious bets before committing engineering to them.
Own interaction quality end to end across iOS, Android — states, transitions, haptics, the +-2px stuff.
Act as the bridge between design and engineering, and set the craft bar for the designers who come after you.
6+ years designing consumer apps, products, or software. Consumer social is a strong plus.
Real depth in interaction and motion design: you take a flow from concept to polished, production-ready yourself.
Systems thinking with receipts — you've built or owned a design system a real team relied on.
Fluent in Figma and hands-on with any prototyping tool (or code). Motion tooling like After Effects or Rive is a plus.
Obsessive about detail: you sweat the transition, the haptic, the pixel.
Self-directed. You set direction in ambiguity instead of waiting for a spec.
3D, advanced motion, or generative AI tooling in your kit.
Strong opinions on music, culture, and where taste is heading.
Competitive Full-Time Rate: Competitive compensation based on a 40-hour work week, paid monthly.

Remote & Autonomy: This is a full-time commitment (40 hours/week) where you have the freedom to build your own daily schedule. Our preferred location for this role is Poland. However, if you are currently based outside of Poland, we are happy to support your relocation.
Rest & Recharge: High-output work requires real downtime. We offer 26 business days of paid time off per year, plus 5 days off and Polish public holidays.
Skills Required
- 6+ years designing consumer apps, products, or software
- Experience delivering production-quality interfaces across iOS and Android

GRAI is an AI music research lab based in Warsaw, Poland, dedicated to building foundation models and interaction primitives for the future of music. The company develops AI-powered tools that enable users to interactively remix, transform, and share songs, aiming to make music more social and interactive while ensuring artists maintain control and potentially benefit from new royalty streams.
