- Provide technical expertise and architectural acumen for shared FXDBS platform services
- Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable platforms supporting real-time FX workloads
- Drive engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practices across the FXDBS squads
- Enable teams through self-service platform capabilities, automation, and reusable components
- Partner with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust platform solutions
- Champion DevOps and SRE practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and operational excellence
- Improve platform resilience, observability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Ensure platforms meet security, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor senior engineers and uplift technical capability across the broader Markets Technology community
- Should have 12+ years of experience
- Strong experience in platform or infrastructure engineering within complex distributed systems
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python)
- Experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms (AWS preferred)
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modelling for high-throughput systems
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging, or streaming platforms
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code
- Strong focus on non-functional requirements including availability, performance, security, and scalability
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and production support of mission-critical systems
- Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments
- Understanding of FX or capital markets trading workflows is advantageous
- Familiarity with real-time pricing, market data, or trade lifecycle processing is beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
