Join the Operational Risk & Compliance Crew to engineer our core AI-enabled risk platforms. You will work within a squad delivering agentic AI capabilities into risk management processes that operate across the bank. Here, you’ll create, manage and optimise the platforms used to power our entire business. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring our systems are simpler, faster and more secure.

Risk Management is modernising how the bank identifies, assesses, and manages risk by building an enterprise-grade Risk AI Platform powered by an AWS-first approach, ArgoCD-managed deployments, and strong API standards. The platform underpins a growing portfolio of AI-enabled products that automate risk processes, embed agentic intelligence, and deliver scalable, human-in-the-loop workflows across Operational Risk & Compliance.
You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Principal Engineers, Risk Technology and adjacent crews to deliver platform capabilities, improve engineering practices, and meet tech control and privacy obligations.
What you’ll be doing
• Build and evolve reusable cloud infrastructure, platform tooling and automation that support secure, scalable application delivery.
• Enable engineering teams through CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and modern platform practices across AWS environments.
• Deploy and operate containerised workloads using Kubernetes, EKS and related platform tooling.
• Improve observability, monitoring, resilience and operational support across critical services.
• Partner with internal and third-party engineers to improve delivery quality, speed and safety.
• Contribute to governance, service management, incident response and continuous improvement across the platform.

Must have
• Strong experience with AWS-based platform engineering or cloud infrastructure. AWS is preferred for this role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly EKS, and containerised deployments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including CloudFormation. Terraform experience is also relevant.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• A strong automation mindset and the ability to improve platform reliability, consistency and engineering efficiency.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Observe or AppDynamics.
Nice to have
• Experience with cloud-native APIs and deploying modern application services.
• Experience with Python, Golang or C#.
• Exposure to AWS AI services such as Bedrock.
