SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Staff Nurse will provide professional nursing care to assigned patients. Assesses patients, develop, and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions. Directs patient care technicians and ancillary staff in patient care activities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the care of the patient in all Invasive Cardiology Department EP Lab /Cardiac Cath Lab. Assesses, prepares, monitors, and treats patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
SCHEDULE: 11 AM-11:30 PM. Evenings vary.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N. required.
BSN Degree, preferred. Associate's required.
Critical care experience required.
Cath/EP lab experience, preferred.
CCRN preferred.
BLS and ACLS are required.
Infection Control Training, Certification in specialty preferred.
Effective English communication skills, both written and oral required.
Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems preferred.
Mandatory on-call.

- CCRN certification
