Staff AI / ML Embedded Engineer

Role Overview:
The Edge AI team is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer with a strong background in embedded software development and experience in AI or DSP. This role focuses on developing software for Analog Devices’ AI SDKs and deploying machine learning models on our digital hardware platforms. You will work closely with AI engineers to optimize and implement solutions on embedded systems, ensuring high performance and efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for Analog Devices’ AI SDKs.
  • Optimize and deploy AI and DSP models on embedded hardware platforms and development kits.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers to optimize machine learning models into efficient embedded implementations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into Analog Devices’ hardware platforms.
  • Debug, test, and validate embedded software to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Stay informed on advancements in embedded systems, AI, and DSP technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Experience with embedded development tools, such as debuggers, compilers, and IDEs.
  • Familiarity with AI or DSP concepts and their application in embedded systems.
  • Experience working with hardware platforms, development kits, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with model optimization techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning) for deployment on constrained hardware.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART) and hardware interfaces.
  • Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Understanding of system-level design and performance trade-offs in embedded systems.
