About the Role
This role is responsible for shaping and evolving HARMAN Lifestyle’s enterprise data architecture to enable scalable data platforms, data products, and advanced analytics capabilities. You will design and govern modern cloud-based data architectures leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, SAP data ecosystems, and enterprise analytics platforms. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving HARMAN’s transition toward domain-oriented data products and the adoption of a future-ready Data Fabric architecture.
What You Will Do
Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards and best practices across the Lifestyle Digital data ecosystem.
Design scalable data architectures supporting analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise reporting.
Architect and govern the Snowflake data platform and enterprise data warehouse environment.
Design robust data integration patterns across SAP and non-SAP systems, APIs, and cloud data sources.
Enable domain-driven data products that deliver reusable and trusted datasets for business teams.
Define data modeling standards, including dimensional models, semantic models, and domain data models.
Establish architecture patterns to support future Data Fabric capabilities, including metadata-driven architectures and data sharing.
Partner with BI teams (Power BI, Qlik) to enable scalable semantic layers and self-service analytics.
Define data governance standards, including metadata management, data lineage, data quality frameworks, and master data principles.
What You Need to Be Successful
15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms.
Strong expertise in designing modern cloud data architectures (Fabric, Snowflake, or similar platforms).
Deep understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data modeling practices.
Experience in integrating SAP data landscapes with modern analytics platforms.
Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
Experience in designing scalable data pipelines and distributed data architectures.
Bonus Points if You Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
Experience in implementing data products, Data Mesh, or domain-oriented data architectures.
Experience in designing or implementing Data Fabric or metadata-driven data architectures.
Experience with enterprise BI platforms such as Power BI or Qlik.
Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP BW, or other SAP data platforms.
Experience in enabling AI/ML data platforms and advanced analytics.
What Makes You Eligible
Willingness to travel up to 5%, including both domestic and international travel.
Willingness to work from an office or home office with the flexibility to travel to sites as needed.
