About the role:
Luminar Technologies is looking for a Sr Staff/ Lead Lidar Test Engineer (ADAS) to be a part of a talented team of Software Testing working in an agile software testing platform responsible for SWE.6, SYS.4 and SYS.5 testing activities for Luminar LiDAR SW. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of high-quality automotive hardware products. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, software engineers, and product owners to execute day-to-day activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the test development, test automation and test execution activities related to SWE.6 (software qualification test), SYS.4 (system integration test), SYS.5 (system qualification test).
- Understand system requirements and software requirements and derive functional test cases and system level tests cases.
- Development of test cases in respective test platform, test execution, test automation and defect analysis.
- Independently handle project Verification and Validation needs.
Requirements:
- 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience as software/systems test engineer.
- Exposure to Automotive System/SW validation with any sensors (LiDAR, Camera, Radar) / ADAS systems / Active Safety.
- Experience with Requirement Analysis and derivation of Test Specifications.
- Experience with Test automation and assessment with Python is must.
- Experience with SIL and HIL validation.
- Hands-on experience of building automated tests for startup/shutdown, diagnostics, variant coding, network communication, flashing, degradation and fault injection, etc.
- Experience with automotive software development and automotive product lifecycles.
- Knowledge of automotive protocols such as Ethernet, SOME/IP, CAN,LIN,etc.
- Experience with Linux or Unix environments (minimum as user).
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GIT, Artifactory, JAMA, Doors.
- Knowledge of analysis and measurement tools like CANoe, CANape, Vsignalyzer.
- Capable of driving test coverage under time constraints.
- Experience with one of the Automotive software development lifecycle (V-model or Agile).
- ISTQB certified test engineer preferred.
