Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join the Vibe team at Blitz, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping a new platform that enables users to create mods for their favorite games through advanced AI technology and user-friendly tools. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for backend development, building integrations with other APIs, and an interest in generative AI as it relates to game development. If you excel in a startup environment, enjoy being hands-on from the start, and can balance rapid development with scalable, thoughtful solutions, we want to hear from you. You will collaborate closely with exceptional Product and Engineering teams to consistently deliver top-tier solutions that bring immense value to our community of gamers.
This position requires all hires to be onsite Monday through Thursday out of our Los Angeles (Playa Vista) office, with the option to WFH on Friday.
What You’ll Do
- Feature Development: Take charge of developing core platform features, with a focus on backend API endpoints and integrating external APIs, as well as advancing the team’s ability to manage and access our library of 3D models and audio assets.
- 3rd Party Integrations: Develop scalable integrations with external APIs to enhance our platform’s capabilities and provide seamless user experiences.
- Generative AI for Audio: Explore and implement generative AI solutions for sound design and audio-related tools, adding a cutting-edge dimension to our platform.
- Backend Expertise: Lead efforts to build robust backend architectures that efficiently handle data flow between users, our tools, and third-party integrations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, designers, and engineering peers to iterate on features, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and a bias for iterative progress.
What It Takes
- Expert proficiency with Typescript, Nest.js, React, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud.
- 6+ years of proven full stack development experience with a demonstrated ability to architect and build scalable backend systems, including RESTful APIs.
- A strong blend of technical depth, product intuition, and pragmatic decision-making, with a history of taking products from concept to completion.
- Growth-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit and a desire to achieve ambitious goals.
- Demonstrated passion for startups or early-stage companies.
Nice To Have
- A keen interest in generative voice AI, game development, or video game mods.
- Previous involvement in the video game industry or founding experience at an early-stage startup.
