- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a Palantir Foundry-based data product, including enterprise ontology, curated datasets, and analytics engineering frameworks.
- Design and evolve enterprise ontology models that integrate EHR, ERP, and related healthcare data into reusable object types, relationships, and governed business concepts.
- Develop scalable PySpark transformations, data pipelines, semantic models, metrics, and analytical datasets supporting enterprise reporting and AI-enabled workflows.
- Establish engineering standards, data contracts, ontology design patterns, and technical frameworks that promote scalability, consistency, and maintainability.
- Implement data quality, governance, security, privacy, lineage, and observability practices to support trusted and compliant healthcare data solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions and technical strategies that improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
- Partner with product, analytics, operations, data governance, security, and engineering teams to translate client and business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and champion modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development and agentic coding approaches.
Preferred Responsibilities:
- Evaluate emerging Palantir Foundry and AIP capabilities to identify opportunities for enhanced analytics, automation, and product innovation.
- Advance enterprise semantic modeling and reusable analytics frameworks to accelerate development of future data products and AI-enabled applications.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.

Skills Required
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong technical expertise in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering; designing and delivering large-scale distributed data platforms
- Strong understanding of agentic coding, AI-assisted development, and emerging AI technologies within software and analytics workflows
- Experience with PySpark, Spark, Python, SQL, distributed data processing, and production-grade data products and transformation frameworks
- Strong understanding of data modeling and semantic architecture concepts (entity relationship modeling, dimensional modeling, ontology development, domain-driven design, enterprise data modeling)
- Experience implementing modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, version control, monitoring, documentation, and release management
- Experience designing scalable, secure, reliable, and governed data platforms including data quality frameworks, lineage, observability, access controls, privacy, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to lead architectural decision-making, establish engineering standards, and influence technical direction across teams
- Ability to translate complex healthcare, operational, financial, and business workflows into durable technical models for reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry (ontology development, datasets, transforms, Code Repositories, object/link types, functions, actions, security, application enablement)
- Experience with healthcare data domains and platforms (EHR, ERP, FHIR, HL7, Epic, Oracle Health, claims, provider, financial, operational, clinical data)
- Experience designing enterprise semantic layers, governed metric frameworks, certified datasets, or large-scale ontology implementations
