We are seeking a talented and experienced hands-on Staff Engineer to join our dynamic gaming company. The Staff Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and technical architecture of solutions, ensuring that the developed features meet the game needs and align with the company's technological standards and vision. This role requires expertise in both front end and backend development, as well as data pipeline design and development, focusing on creating robust, secure, and scalable games.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first line guardian of the developed code to make sure no hidden failures exist within the code, the delivered features and solutions.
- Close work with the CTO and other key stakeholders and participate in discussions and important meetings on a regular basis.
- Play a pivotal role in the design and technical architecture of our games solutions.
- Ensure that the developed features meet the needs of product requirements.
- Oversee the complete software development lifecycle from conception to deployment.
- Maintain and develop a high standard of quality for all deliverables. Implement best practices for testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Grow and develop the team's proficiency in technologies and create responsive and user-friendly games.
- Be able to work with multiple teams and to drive close collaboration with the developers on a daily basis.
- Be a key member of the daily meetings and overall status of the teams.
- Work closely with the development team and assist with removing obstacles.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of proven hands-on experience.
- Proven experience as a POD lead or in a similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in both front end and backend development.
- Expertise in architecting and scaling large-scale, microservices-based platforms.
- Experience with data pipeline design and development.
- Proven ability to create robust, secure, and scalable games.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
