Staff Engineer, Embedded Systems Test Manager
Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking an Embedded Systems Test Manager to join our solutions team supporting a broad range of industry‑leading high‑performance linear solutions and standard products used in industrial automation, instrumentation, automotive, healthcare, and communication systems.
The Embedded Systems Test Manager is responsible for ensuring that ADI’s embedded and mixed‑signal solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. As part of a cross‑functional team, the Test Manager leads quality planning, validation, and continuous improvement activities; drives root‑cause analysis and corrective actions; supports hardware, software, and systems teams during development and testing; and provides technical quality support to global customers.
Responsibilities include
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for embedded and mixed signal solutions.
- Define quality requirements and validation strategies for FPGA based and embedded digital designs interfacing with ADI products.
- Oversee system level testing, verification, and validation activities in collaboration with hardware and software engineering teams.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and reliability improvements across product lines.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, validation reports, process documentation, and customer facing quality notes.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (ISO 9001, automotive/industrial standards as applicable).
- Provide technical quality support through ADI’s Engineer Zone forum and assist in quality related training for field personnel and customers.
- Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports for leadership and cross functional teams.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with system‑level debugging, hardware/software validation, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of embedded processors (ARM, MicroBlaze, NIOS) and familiarity with Linux or bare‑metal environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of analog, linear and mixed-signal circuit fundamentals and devices is a plus.
- Familiarity with Xilinx/Altera/Lattice FPGAs and tools is a plus.
- Exposure to electronics measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters.
- Experience with quality methodologies (FMEA, 8D, CAPA, root‑cause analysis) is a plus.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or industry‑specific quality standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop innovative quality solutions.
