Staff Engineer, Test Engineering — Product Development
About the Role:
The HVP (High Voltage and Protection) team is seeking a highly skilled Staff Test Engineer to design and develop high-performance test solutions on Automated Test Equipment for Power and Mixed Signal products.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for silicon verification, characterization, qualification, and supporting volume manufacturing, with a focus on innovative, cost-effective test strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust test methodologies, test plans, and coverage for new product introductions (Final Test and Wafer Probe), collaborating closely with design and product engineering teams.
- Evaluate, install, and integrate new test platforms into global manufacturing systems.
- Design cost-effective hardware and software solutions for all phases of product testing—characterization, qualification, wafer probe, and final test.
- Contribute to design reviews, shaping test strategies and selecting optimal techniques and platforms for new product development.
- Manage project schedules to ensure on-time product introductions and releases.
- Lead technical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration to deliver quality, innovation, and business results.
- Mentor and support junior engineers; foster a collaborative, growth-minded team culture.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in:
- Analyzing and debugging analog and digital circuits.
- Designing ATE hardware and developing software solutions for performance and cost efficiency.
- Using tools like OrCAD and Cadence Allegro.
- Statistical data analysis with Excel or similar.
- Strong background in electronics, circuit analysis, and knowledge of Gate Drivers, Silicon Carbide, GAN, and Power products.
- Hands-on experience with NI-STS, Microflex, and ETS-364 platforms is highly valued.
- Track record of success with complex, mixed-signal Power products, and high-voltage/high-current devices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience integrating test platforms with global manufacturing systems.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on timely delivery.
- Excellent communication skills: experience mentoring or coaching others is a plus.
