Analog Devices is seeking Staff System Validation Engineer, who will be responsible for validation of highly integrated solutions and products in a multifunctional team. You will be working on driving real revenue growth on the next generation of Intelligence at the Edge products across multiple products and business units.

About the Role 

Key member of system validation team for SoC design pre and post silicon The candidate will be responsible for formulating validation strategies, architecting validation platforms, flows, methodology and leading, driving and completing validation of large integrated products. As a senior team member, it is expected that he/she will lead and influence verification and validation methodologies within both DBU and ADI.   The candidate is also encouraged to participate in cross company technical initiatives as well as patent and publish work where possible. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead Pre Silicon validation for complex SOC 

  • Defining validation plans, tests and verification/ validation methodology for chip-level. Working with the design team, architecture team, apps team and software team in generating and reviewing validation plans. 

  • Work with software team and DV team to ensure maximum collaboration. 

  • Manage the release process of various collaterals to the software team. 

  • Developing and maintaining validation platforms like emulation, FPGA etc. 

  • System level use case scenarios definition, coding and validation and sign off through available platforms 

  • Innovating solutions to hit deliverable schedules. 

  • Come up with system validation strategy for a product after going through product requirements and design specifications along with end system applications. 

  • Modeling of the external (to SoC) components in the system for the usecase validation purpose and deploy in various platforms 

  • Creating various hypotheses around an issue for troubleshooting. 

  • Act as a bridge between hardware and software teams. 

  • Automating the workflow 

Requirements 

  • B.Tech/M.Tech with 8+ years of industry experience in Digital Pre Silicon verification or validation. 

  • Good understanding of SOC/Subsystem design concepts and design architectures 

  • Hands-on experience in UVM based methodology and C++ based methodology is a must. Python based methodology is an added advantage. 

  • Handon experience in using emulators/ FPGA. 

  • A good understanding of various application specific algorithms and hands-on experience in running them on validation platforms is an advantage 

  • A good understanding of ARM based processors and SW workflows 

  • Knowledge in software toolchains is an advantage 

  • Very good hardware debug skills. Good working knowledge in AMBA protocols. Should be able to debug processor issues. 

  • Experience in analyzing the system performance 

  • Knowledge of SV-UVM and debugging testbenches is a must. 

  • Knowledge of microprocessor cores such as ARM, RISC-V, Tensilica , Neural Network, GPU Cores is a plus. 

  • System Verilog, C/C++, System C, TCL/Python/shell-scripting 

  • Knowledge of various modeling tools like Matlab etc. is an advantage. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, collaborate and influence innovative design development/verification methodologies to wider team spread across the globe. 

  • Quick to adopt new technologies with good problem-solving skills.
