We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Semiconductor Quality Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite the resolution of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Evaluation of non-conforming material and support disposition of the material with the MRB team
- Interpretation of SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems
- Work closely with Foundries production and engineering teams to implement quality improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Lead quality Customer audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality management systems
- Develop and maintain quality documentation and records
- Provide technical expertise and support to resolve quality-related issues
- Actively participate in customer and certification authority audits; review customer-specific requirements and respond to part-specific information as required by the customers.
- Analyze customer returns and respond with 8D reports and continuous improvement summaries.
- Collaborate with Product, Process, Design, Failure Analysis, and Reliability engineering organizations to drive quality improvements & Quality Management System (QMS) implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including CMOS, Bipolar, and MEMS device technologies,
with experience in process and device-related defect characterization and failure mechanisms.
- Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing and quality control
- Strong understanding of statistical process control and quality management systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environments and understanding of risk management using FMEA and Control Plan tools
- Quality certifications like ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE, etc.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards like IATF 16949:2016/ISO 9001
