Staff Engineer, Product Test
This technical lead role will lead the Product and Test Engineering (PTE) activities on any new SOC product developed in the newly formed Software and Digital Business Unit (SDP). The role will lead PTE team that drives the post-silicon phase of the product development from first silicon to high volume production. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and will have the experience in test aspects for both high speed Digital and Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) Products, working with cross functional teams like Bench Eval..etc with ability to collaborate with ADI global teams and off-shore subcons.
Responsibilities:
- Design of innovative, reliable and efficient Probe and Test solutions on high performance digital & mixed signal ATE platforms (93K, Ultra-flex) for multisite parallel testing
- Development of the ATE software solutions as per the specifications
- Play a role in DFT/BIST definition & development, through direct involvement with the Design team early in the New Product Development, to reduce FFC and improve testability
- Execution of the Test development phase of projects including Silicon functionality, Characterization, Yield Analysis, Correlation & Offshore Production release on time
- Supervise, technically guide and participate in hiring of PTE team members needed for the new product development
Qualifications:
- Have a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Have 8-9 years’ of hands-on experience in high speed Digital & AMS Test Development
- Having expertise into high speed SERDES test and/or Bluetooth test is essential
- Have knowledge of the ATE software development and working knowledge of Teradyne Flex (IG-XL, VBT based) and 93K ATE systems
- Have good analytical & statistical skills and knowledge of the Perl/C++ programming
- Be experienced in ATE h/w design & layout for both digital & AMS products with lead skills in understanding the problems/limitations in hardware development
- Be experienced in releasing multi-site test programs to off-shore production test houses
- Be well versed with the usage of bench equipment such as Oscilloscope, VI meter, Signal generator and analyzers
- Be capable of working with the reliability engineers on the product qual
- Be proactive and work under own supervision
- Be self-motivated, and willing to accept responsibility
- Have the ability to mentor and train the juniors if needed
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills and be a team player
