Staff Engineer, Product Applications

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer, Product Applications for the Durham, NC location in the High Performance Power Business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating customer facing collaterals including design tools, simulation models, presentations, application notes, demos, and technical articles.
  • Working with internal and external customers through system integration, circuit design, optimization, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Developing and conducting product/application technical training and demonstrations for field personnel and customers.
  • Investigating customers’ applications and learning new applications in different markets.
  • Owning reference designs and supporting products evaluation and debug.
  • Engaging with marketing, customers, and the sales organization to understand market, technical, business needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Defining new products.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to solve challenge problems.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSEE with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • A solid knowledge of circuit fundamentals, power electronics, switching regulators, topologies, control theory, and applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experiences with analysis, design, and debug on DC/DC converters.
  • Experiences in at least one of the areas in industrial, automotive, communication, and consumer applications.
  • Experiences in defining, releasing, marketing, and selling technical solutions of new, innovative products.
  • Self-motivated, capable of accepting responsibility and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Proven ability to communicate with sales/field applications and customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and inter-personal skills.
