Staff Engineer, Embedded Software
Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking Staff Embedded Software Engineer to join our team that provides SDK support for a broad range of high-performance SoCs targeting markets such as industrial automation, sound instrumentation, automotive, and communication systems.
The Software Engineer is responsible for developing embedded device drivers, middleware, and sample applications. As part of a cross functional team, the Software Engineer performs definition, development, implementation, and documentation of the software.
Responsibilities include:
- Architect, create and maintain bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux device drivers and connectivity stack porting, software projects for embedded systems, processors and microcontroller-based platforms
- Work with Ethernet MAC/PHY drivers and low-level networking stacks; integrate networking solutions with RTOS or Embedded Linux.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE) or Computer Science (CS) with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the design, implementation, and support of embedded software
- Proficiency with a variety of software development languages, including but not limited to C, C++, Python, and shell scripting.
- Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS systems
- Experience with ARM-based SoCs / MCUs/APUs
- Experience with Ethernet networking, debug and analysis of real-time network behavior.
- Experience with real-time Ethernet, TSN Standards and Protocols is a plus.
- Experience with SCM (svn, git), cross compiler and in-circuit debugging tools
- Good software design, problem solving and analytical debugging skills
- Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems
- Ability to comprehend large and complex technical documentation.
