Job Title: Staff Embedded Software Engineer (P4)

Department: Customer Solution Enablement under Software and Security Group (CSE-SSG)

Job Summary: As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, you will be a pivotal force in the evolution of our embedded system software, driving the creation of device drivers, firmware, middleware, and applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in converting sophisticated requirements into resilient software designs, steering the development lifecycle with precision. Your technical leadership skills will also contribute to the growth and scaling of the software engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and motivate a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate technical specifications into executable designs, leading the architectural efforts for cutting-edge software solutions.
  • Ensure the highest code quality and adherence to best practices by supervising the review and approval process of software within the team.
  • Serve as a technical mentor, elevating the team’s capabilities through knowledge sharing and targeted coaching.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define, refine, and validate software requirements, ensuring they reflect the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Generate reports detailing the team’s progress and growth, highlighting achievements and areas for development.
  • Partner with senior management to strategize on resource management, team development, and overall growth, shaping the future of the software engineering team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronics/Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • At least 10 years in embedded software development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, managing software teams and projects.
  • Proficient in C/C++, Embedded Linux, and/or Hardware Description Language (HDL). Familiarity with Zephyr and Rust is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in software testing, version control systems, and agile development practices.
  • Skilled in hardware-software co-debugging using analytical tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • A track record of successful technical leadership and project delivery, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
