They provide the specific analysis, tools, and translation of requirements into a form that is easily consumed by the engineers who design and build these systems.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-
Define requirements, metrics, and simulation testing to validate safe, legal, and comfortable Autonomous Vehicle operations
-
Perform analysis of Autonomous Vehicle driving behaviors to characterize vehicle systems performance, validate systems engineering requirements, influence development of the autonomy stack, and enable release and launch decisions by developing simulation testing and on road monitoring
-
Apply risk management tools and methodologies to drive decision making
-
Combine experience in Systems Engineering and data analysis to facilitate data driven design, validation, risk analysis, and prioritization decisions
-
Lead and communicate data analyses, trade studies, and safety analysis that provide teams with all the information needed to develop and continuously improve the systems function and performance
-
Develop methods to analyze and compare the impact of software changes on top level systems engineering requirements
-
Own roadmaps for developing long-term and stable requirements, verification/validation, and/or software solutions to advanced problems
-
Mentor team members in support of successful delivery of roadmaps or technical solutions
