Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of general ledger accounting. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting function within the organization.Duties
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection of payments.
- Perform account analysis, day-to-day sales documentation and verification, reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Utilize accounting software, including SAP entries, to maintain accurate financial data.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance as required.
- Support public accounting tasks, including audits and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions and records.
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or associate’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 Years of experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, SAP exposure would be a plus.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and account analysis techniques.
- Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
