Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reports
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking
- Monitor and record daily cash activity and perform cash reconciliations
- Assist with expense tracking and accruals
- Support preparation of documentation for external accountants, tax filings, and audits
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Assist with improving accounting procedures and internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in private industry
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (QuickBooks Desktop)
