Job DescriptionPlease note that this position requires on-site work at our Lake Mary, Florida office, so we are only seeking candidates who are local or able to work in-person full-time.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position will be responsible for various accounting tasks as assigned by the Controller with an emphasis on inventory and royalties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Agrees with Charisma Media's vision statement, beliefs and values.
Royalty Responsibilities:
- Review, & reconciles foreign rights payments
- Enter author contracts into ERP system
- Process the royalty payments twice per year (February and August).
- Assist the Controller with other royalty duties as needed
- Responds to inquiries from authors regarding royalty payments.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain ACH and W-9 files for authors
- Reviews and reconciles COGS
- Process inventory transactions.
- Assist with managing and reconciling inventory.
- Assist with other accounting duties as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and external customers.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of computer systems, Word, Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Business
- 3-5 years of proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

Location: On-site at our Corporate Office, located at 1150 Greenwood Blvd, Suite 1000, Lake Mary, FL.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: $60,000-$63,000/year.
