In this role, you’ll be part of our growing finance team, working on a variety of accounting functions from invoicing to month-end close, with plenty of room to learn and grow.  Responsibilities: 

• Accounts Receivable (AR) Support: Assist with invoicing, collections, and cash receipts. Work closely with team members to ensure timely collections and accurate reporting. 

• Accounts Payable (AP) Support: Help with the AP cycle by processing invoices and payments. Ensure vendors are paid on time, and assist with managing relationships with vendors and contractors. 

• Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by assisting with journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports. 

• Revenue Recognition: Help prepare revenue recognition schedules, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper recognition in accordance with accounting standards. 

• Process Improvements: Collaborate with senior team members to help identify and implement improvements to streamline our accounting processes, including automations in AR and AP. 

• Financial Data Flow: Work cross-functionally with teams like product, operations, and sales to ensure financial data is accurately captured and flows seamlessly across the company. 

• Tax and Compliance Support: Assist with preparing tax filings, compliance reports, and external audit requests as needed. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Education: Recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance). 

• Experience: 0-1 years of experience in accounting (preferably in a startup, fast-paced, or public accounting environment). Previous internship experience is a plus. 

• Strong Understanding of GAAP: Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. 

• Proficiency in Accounting Systems: Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred, but other systems such as NetSuite or Campfire are a plus). 

• Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 

• Team Player: Eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
