PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and
confirming financial compliance. The Staff Accountant keeps records, maintains
financial reports and ledgers, prepares budgets, files billing, and completes general
bookkeeping. The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

Check job cards for accuracy which includes job card, CAD file, art file, CAPE file, and other miscellaneous customer requirements (inspection sheets, glue instructions, etc.)

Assign, create, and develop raw materials which include cutting die and print plate files by assigning new tooling numbers (Rotary/Flat/Plate) though Excel spreadsheets and enter into estimates in ERP system (ASI/EFI).

Work directly with the Customer Service, Sales, and Design departments to update and correct files. Add and update information on job cards. Create Purchase Orders. Provide files (ARD/PDF/Art/etc.) to vendors.

Route structures and create estimates for initial pricing.

Work with vendors to get plate cost, hardware cost, etc.

Tooling: Field requests from Sales and Customer Service if there are plates (frequently) or cutting dies. Work with Production on getting damaged items fixed. Follow up on the status of new items.

Color: Work with the vendors to get swatches and formulas for new items. Match colors to labels. Provide ink swatches to the production team.

Print Cards/Plates: Manage historical/existing strip mount information in the ERP system. Check the status of plates to see if they are strip mounts. Track down structure files and bad print cards to get updated and correct items.

Items Purchased: cutting dies, print plates, glue, hardware, buyout production items, labels, supplies for SPA/Plant 2. Purchase ink, paper, and miscellaneous items, as needed.
Check and approve orders in database/CRM/ERP system(s).

Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents. Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.

Ensure that all shipping addresses are released in the ERP system by CSRs.

Ensure that SPA is aware of all shipping breakdowns as well as make sure they understand how items pack in the shipping box.

Work with the Sales team to make sure specialty box labels and/or placards are correct and prepared for shipping.
EDUCATION:
-
BS degree in Business Administration or a similar field is preferred with at least two years of proven work experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
-
2-3 years of Customer Service, Data Entry, Purchasing, and/or Project Management experience is required.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.

Previous experience with tracking budget expenses, supply management, negotiating bids and contracts.

Experience with CRM & ERP software (EFI is a plus).

Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts).

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Ability to meet all deadlines in an organized and timely manner.

Previous experience with manufacturing methods and procedures, manufacturing quality, cost accounting, and control engineering.

Peachtree Packaging specializes in the development of creative, functional, and structurally sound corrugated retail packaging and point-of-purchase displays. We also create custom storage and shipping boxes.
