The Role

LeafLink is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their Finance and Accounting team. This role will report to the Company’s Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong month-end close, financial statements, and audit coordination background. The candidate will also have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to handle ad-hoc projects as they arise.  This role is for self-starters and entrepreneurial-minded individuals who desire to contribute to the success of a technology start-up.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations (bank recs, AR, Accrued Expense, Prepaid Assets, Fixed Assets, etc.).
  • Recording of daily customer receipts.
  • Assist with the preparation of weekly accounts payable for processing.
  • Assist with recording of monthly T&E transactions.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing issues with customers (as needed).
  • Assist with the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit schedules.
  • Maintain company accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Adhering to and helping improve upon internal controls and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
  • Assist with special projects and provide ad-hoc operational accounting support, as needed.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
  • Experience with audit coordination and working with external audits
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage is a plus) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
