General Summary:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be able to demonstrate a high level of organizational and time management, strong problem-solving skills and reasoning as well as a high degree of attention to detail. Must be a “self-starter” and be able to work effectively with others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing reports monitored by executive leadership.
- Perform royalties report calculation.
- Perform account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts.
- Perform month closing journal entries.
- Assist in preparation of Lead Schedules for Year-End Audits
- Interface with all levels of organizational personnel
- Support with the integrations and publication of Financial Statements and Lead Schedules
- Monthly write-off of non-Accounts Receivables Transactions
- Proper coding for American Express transactions and posting of related Journal Entry
- Re-class incorrect coding to proper Income Statement accounts
- Participate in Physical Inventory counts.
- Support the Month-End system close.
- Provide Support to Stores as needed.
- Any other additional task requested by Senior Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Able to multi-task, plan and prioritize work effectively.
- NetSuite experience a plus
