With over 1,000 employees worldwide, Nedap is recognized as a global leader in RFID platform solutions, driving digital transformation across multiple industries.

In North America, Nedap has been operating for nearly 15 years and continues to scale rapidly across three key markets. As the organization accelerates its growth in North America, we are hiring a detail-oriented, hands-on Staff Accountant to partner with the Finance Manager and help build a scalable finance function.

As a Staff Accountant, you will own day to day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger support. You will also prepare and reconcile payroll entries and support compliance filings, while identifying ways to streamline processes in a growing organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Payroll & Benefits Support: Prepare and reconcile bi-monthly payroll entries in partnership with HR, and support 401(k) remittance and related reporting from the finance side.
  • General Accounting: Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting, prepare journal entries, and maintain assigned general ledger accounts, including analyses and corrections as needed.
  • Compliance: Support sales and use tax processes and related reconciliations. Ensure sales and use tax filings are completed accurately and on time, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax and compliance reports.
  • Customer & Vendor Administration: Assist with new customer and vendor onboarding and modification of existing accounts, ensuring accounts stay current and reconciled month to month.
  • Process Improvement: Support ongoing process improvement and ERP-related initiatives, and support the Finance Manager on ad hoc projects as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience across AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
  • Payroll experience, including preparing and reconciling payroll entries. Experience with BambooHR or a similar HRIS/payroll system is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting terms and practices, and exposure to sales and use tax or other compliance filings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail, accurate data entry, and strong follow-through on recurring tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and improve them as the organization grows.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, HR, and Operations.
  • Experience owning the accounting function in a small or high-growth company is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required, including openness to using AI tools to support reporting and workflows.

Other requirements:

  • This is a hybrid role based in Burlington, MA, requiring two days per week onsite.
  • Travel (10-20%)
