About Maddox + You:
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, Maddox is seeking an Accountant for their growing accounting team.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of monthly GL posting activity and have basic understanding of US GAAP. We are seeking a Staff Accountant assist with month end close and other ad-hoc requests as needed.

More about You:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participate in all phases of the closing and reporting functions, including preparing journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts as needed
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, and corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate with the team to complete audit and analysis of each balance sheet account as part of monthly close process
- Assist with researching updates in accounting rules and regulations, and preparing memorandums documenting company policy
- Aid in the development, documentation and implementation of internal controls
- Assist with independent auditors to facilitate a successful audit and provide documentation requests, as necessary
- Support the accounting team with designing and implementing financial best practices and Standard Operating Procedures for analyzing growth opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including assistance with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
Experience & Education:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting
- Desired 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ERP type accounting software
Pay: Starting range with bonus: $65k-$75k. Plus up to monthly wellness stipend and other benefits.
