What would I do at Litmus?

We are looking for a responsible, curious, detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a strong focus in Accounts Receivable to join our team. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, weekly check runs, and cash management activities.

In addition to assisting with the day-to-day management of our working capital needs, the Staff Accountant will assist with various tasks and journal entry preparation and ledger reconciliation during the month-end accounting close cycle. 

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the management of monthly collections and receivables, including preparing and submitting customer invoices and responding to accounts receivable inquiries
  • Work with colleagues to facilitate prompt payment from customers
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts receivable function
  • Record and reconcile incoming payments in a timely manner
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Monitor overdue accounts and implement appropriate collection strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company billing policies and procedures
  • Participate in annual audits as needed
  • Assist with related special projects as needed

What is Litmus looking for in a candidate?

  • This is a great opportunity for those who are entering into the Accounting field; whether you have no experience, an internship or co-op, or maybe you've worked in Accounting a couple years but haven't found the right workplace to thrive
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with ASC 606 a plus
  • Hands-on experience using Intacct or a similar ERP system
  • Hands-on experience using Lockstep AR Automation or similar AR software
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • A problem-solver; you think critically and are able to balance the details while considering the big picture
  • Collaborative and able to work to deadlines and with a sense of urgency
  • Exhibits integrity and sound judgment
  • Nice-to-have but not required:
    • SaaS or subscription-based business acumen
    • Experience using
