About the Role:
The successful candidate will lead technology staff and manage technology oversight of all Harman Software Products solutions. The candidate is expected to lead and architect Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) architecture, drive improvements and keep pace with our growth while motivating change to address the challenges of software platforms and provide a resilient service to all customers of Software Products.
Your Team
Report to the Director of Operations and functionally manage technical teams.
What You Will Do
- Be the customer champion and be responsible for taking ownership as a turnaround specialist to meet customer expectations.
- Solve complex global customer service issues and proactively prevent negative service trends.
- Be responsible for championing customer RFP proposal responses with appropriate estimations for cloud, applications, service-level requirements, and implementation efforts.
- Work with R&D and Engineering teams and ensure good collaboration while operational issues are prioritized and resolved.
- Be responsible for performance, capacity, and forecasting of cloud and application stacks.
- Additional responsibilities include interviewing, training, and motivating team members.
- Effectively partner and build productive working relationships with direct reports, peers, leadership, and other departments. Support the sourcing strategy and provide oversight of IT vendor relationship management.
- Support troubleshooting and service restoration during issues and outages when necessary.
- Demonstrate competency in leadership, judgment, collaboration, and a results-driven approach.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Highly experienced IT professional who has well-rounded experience in Software Engineering, architectural thinking, operations and reliability engineering, and project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 13+ years of software services background, especially with automotive experience.
- Strong knowledge of Automotive Industry IoT solutions based on Public Cloud & Kubernetes.
- Excellent demonstrable skills in software industry tools and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Java-based application stacks with a good understanding of relational & NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Cosmos DB, etc.
- Strong knowledge of edge computing, especially for automotive and connected vehicle solutions.
- Strong knowledge of HiveMQ, Kafka and MQTT protocols.
- Experience working in CI/CD & DevSecOps processes of SDLC (GitHub & others).
- Proven experience or demonstrated capability in responding to RFPs and solution development.
- Experienced in solutioning and estimation of cloud-based software stacks.
- Sound knowledge of Software-Defined Vehicle architecture and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of compliance & Cybersecurity requirements within Automotive domains.
- Skills in AI & AIOps, Application Performance Management (APM) & distributed tracing.
- Sound acumen in automation and ability to visualize automation frameworks that will provide operational efficiencies and faster identification and resolution.

- Excellent customer interfacing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical & business concepts and technologies to senior leaders.
- Sound knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS and Azure.
