Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to work in a fast paced, international development environment with direct interaction across the Process, Optical, Software and Manufacturing teams. The candidate should have a great understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation systems. The position will be part of the Automation and Test Team in our operation facility and their main responsibilities will be to support and improve our manufacturing platforms. The candidate will support the setup and installation of said platform on test and production stations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop applications and features of the automation platform that support the manufacturing of UF Lasers
- Implement process control tests
- Support product line setup and new feature roll-out
- Station debugging and troubleshooting
- Documentation of processes, experiments and features
- Develop automation solutions to increase current performance, reduce cycle time or station footprint.
- Maintain production automation system, analyze cycle time, failure modes and propose improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from a Technical College in Automation, Robotics, Software, Electronics or Mechanics.
- Excellent Python skills. Willingness and skill to learn quickly new programming languages.
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of software design practices: version control, continuous integration, unit testing, etc. is a bonus.
- Teamwork orientation with strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills, as well as commitment to continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, able to estimate, update and communicate tasks and small projects with the rest of the team.
- Ability to develop, understand and collaborate on electric, pneumatic and network systems following diagrams and schematics.
- Fluency in English and Thai
Additional Desired Experience:
- Experience in Robotics for manufacturing systems is a big plus.
- Understanding of optical systems and components is a plus.
- Familiar with qualification of equipment, tools, processes, and products.
