As a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with US trade regulations, with a primary focus on US duty drawback. You will also gain exposure to US Trade Remedies including Section 301, Section 232, Section 122, and more, while leveraging your knowledge of the US import process and CBP's ACE system to support seamless cross-border trade operations.
You will report directly to our Trade Compliance Manager and you’ll work out of our Bangalore, India location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell’s ability to maintain compliance with complex US trade regulations, minimize risks related to import duties and trade remedies, and facilitate efficient import processes through effective use of CBP’s ACE system.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures focused on US duty drawback and trade remedies.
- Manage and oversee import documentation and processes, including classification, licensing, and customs documentation using CBP's ACE system.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on US trade compliance matters.
- Stay updated with changes in US trade regulations and communicate impacts to the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve trade compliance issues and mitigate risks.
- 6+ years of experience in trade compliance, with strong focus on US duty drawback and trade remedies or willingness to gain experience in US trade remedies.
- In-depth knowledge of US import regulations, customs laws, and CBP's ACE system.
- Experience managing trade compliance programs including classification, licensing, and compliance audits.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex trade regulations and provide practical solutions.
- Proven ability to manage import documentation and processes efficiently.
- Experience with HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification and Free Trade Agreement qualification.
- Experience conducting Free Trade Agreement (FTA) analysis to determine eligibility and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational company environment.
- Knowledge of other import compliance disciplines is desirable.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
