About the Role
For our R&D Team in St.Valentin, we are looking for a Sr. Technical Specialist, Machine Learning & AI (m/f/d).
In this exciting role, you are a key member of our R&D team, working on cutting-edge technology projects. Your main responsibilities include evaluating and integrating technologies for automotive products, as well as applying advanced manufacturing principles and software integration. You are involved in a variety of investigations, from assessing technology readiness to analyzing project scope. Your innovative ideas for new products and processes greatly contribute to the team's success.
Your Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and coordinate R&D projects for/with internal and external R&D departments, supplier companies, institutions and academia.
  • Research latest advances in technology building blocks for automotive products & systems, software/data analytics methods and advanced manufacturing techniques
  • Work with engineering tools to develop prototype and/or production intent solutions.
  • Lead, document and present advances of the projects.
  • Evaluate technologies and product designs with compliance to scientific principles, engineering- & software development principles, company standards and customer requirements.
  • Support the development of innovative components or modules from initial concept through full development.
  • Design, simulate, execute and test Proof of Concept systems / programs


Who we are looking for

  • Expertise with a variety of Machine Learning methods, their advantages & disadvantages, available libraries, and their areas of application
  • Proficiency in one (or more) common programming languages/environments (Python, Rust, C/C++, MATLAB etc.) and their application for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Analytics
  • AI method knowledge and preferably hands-on experience in at least several of the following fields:
    • Computer Vision
    • Sensor Data Fusion
    • Advanced Data Analytics
    • Data-Driven Decision Making / Behavior modeling
  • Several years of work experience in either product development, concept development, R&D or academia in automotive field, having successfully conducted and completed projects with measurable outcomes
  • Strong understanding of academic research in the field, ability to monitor publications and keep track of latest progress & development
  • Understanding of project initiation and execution including technical and business aspects.
  • Awareness of global trends related to the automotive and mobility field.


Your preferred qualifications

  • A Master degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or similar

The minimum annual remuneration package for this position is EUR 70.000,- with corresponding qualification. The actual salary is higher and depends on your education and specific work experience.
