We are looking for a Senior Application Systems Engineer based in the Europe to support building automation and energy management projects across EU.
This is a hands-on role responsible for developing scalable system designs and validating them in the field. The position bridges engineering, sales, and delivery to ensure solutions are technically sound and deployable across multi-site environments.
This role can be based in different locations across Europe and requires frequent travel (>30%) across EU for site surveys, design validation, and project execution support.

ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities
- Develop system architectures and application designs for Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) solutions.
- Conduct on-site surveys and technical assessments across various countries to gather requirements and assess conditions.
- Translate field conditions into clear, actionable designs and defined project scopes.
- Lead the development of proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), and network/integration diagrams.
- Define integrations across multiple systems, including HVAC, refrigeration controls, lighting systems, and energy/submetering.
- Design and validate protocol integrations (such as BACnet, Modbus, RS-485, and IP) while identifying and mitigating design risks for effective project execution.
Key skills and qualifications
- Proven experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and/or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration control systems, electrical distribution, and submetering, along with field integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus, IP networking).
- Hands-on experience with Niagara/JACE platforms and Honeywell or equivalent BMS systems.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multi-site rollouts in retail, QSR, or commercial environments, along with performing site surveys and system design translation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, sales, and field execution teams, with a willingness to travel over 50% in the EU.
- A field-first mindset with strong communication skills, detail-oriented focus, and the ability to work independently across multiple countries and projects.
