You will lead multiple high-impact, cross-functional initiatives while establishing strategic direction for shared platform services, APIs, SDKs, and partner integration models. This role requires deep systems thinking, strong business and technical fluency, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in making thoughtful, long-term product tradeoffs.

Responsibilities Platform & Architecture
  • Define and drive the multi-year product vision and roadmap for Updater’s platform and integration ecosystem in conjunction with senior leadership.
  • Identify strategic platform investments that unlock new partner models, vertical expansion, revenue streams, or operational scale.
  • Proactively surface systemic friction, scalability constraints, or structural inefficiencies and lead cross-functional solutions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership to ensure architectural direction aligns with product strategy and long-term business objectives.
  • Establish clear product principles for balancing short-term partner needs with long-term platform health.
Integrations & Developer Experience
  • Define the long-term vision for Updater’s developer and partner integration experience, including tooling, documentation, onboarding models, and self-service capabilities.
  • Establish measurable success frameworks for integration performance, reliability, and adoption across partner segments.
  • Design scalable integration approaches that promote reuse, extensibility, and platform integrity.
  • Evaluate emerging market trends and integration models to ensure the platform remains competitive and future-ready.
Strategic Partner Enablement
  • Shape integration models that influence go-to-market strategy and enable scalable partner growth.
  • Engage senior internal and external stakeholders to align on integration strategy and long-term value creation.
  • Guide principled product decision-making when immediate partner demands conflict with long-term platform sustainability.
  • Anticipate risks in major initiatives and proactively create contingency plans.
Product & Organizational Leadership
  • Lead multiple high-impact, cross-functional initiatives simultaneously, maintaining strategic clarity while ensuring disciplined execution.
  • Author clear, high-quality product strategy documents, requirements, technical specifications, and decision memos that align senior stakeholders and enable scalable execution.
  • Adapt and apply advanced problem-solving approaches when navigating complex ambiguity, incomplete data, or evolving business strategy.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and GTM teams when priorities compete or tradeoffs require principled decision-making.
  • Proactively identify interdependencies and sequencing risks across initiatives, ensuring platform investments optimize long-term business impact.
Must-Have Skills & Experience Experience
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, with deep expertise in B2B platforms, APIs, integrations, or developer-facing products.
  • Demonstrated success defining and executing multi-year product strategy with measurable business impact.
  • Track record of leading multiple future-facing, cross-functional initiatives in complex environments.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise in platform ecosystems or integration strategy.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of APIs (REST/GraphQL), SDKs, authentication models, integration patterns, and system tradeoffs.
  • Ability to engage deeply with Engineering partners on system design implications while maintaining product ownership of direction and prioritization.
  • Experience balancing platform scalability with commercial and partner needs.
Ways of Working
  • Excellent communicator who can align engineers, partners, and stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Systems thinker who sees how individual features/integrations fit into a broader ecosystem.
  • Pragmatic and outcome-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in proptech or multifamily industry.
  • Background as an engineer, solutions architect, or technical consultant who transitioned into product management.
  • Experience improving developer experience through tooling, documentation, and self-service workflows.
