JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Product Designer (US Remote)
LOCATION: REMOTE
THE ROLE:
We seek a seasoned and passionate Senior Technical Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in designing, prototyping, and developing intuitive, engaging, and impactful user experiences for our platform’s music creative workflows. You’re equally comfortable in design and front-end development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business goals into innovative design solutions that inspire and empower our users who are music creators.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead the design process from concept to execution, creating user-centered designs for web and native applications
- Build rapid prototypes to test and validate concepts early and often. You will be expected to iterate quickly based on user feedback and technical feasibility.
- Partner closely with the engineering team, leveraging your technical knowledge, particularly in Javascript and audio DSP frameworks, to ensure audio interaction designs are feasible and performant.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and ensure a deep understanding of our user's needs and behaviors
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging tech, and best practices in music tech and user experience design
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Product Designer with a proven track record in creating engaging and intuitive user experiences
- Deep expertise in DAW music production
- 3+ years of experience designing audio/music (or equivalent) interfaces such as DAW VST plugins
- 3+ years of experience in Javascript and front-end development or equivalent
- Familiarity with web and native development frameworks, understanding their capabilities and limitations
- Experience authoring and managing design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across products
- A portfolio showcasing a history of high-quality work, highlighting your design process, creativity, and problem-solving skills
NICE TO HAVES:
- Proven experience in high-growth organizations, adapting to rapid change while scaling design solutions
- Familiarity with digital signal processing and audio frameworks such as JUCE, Superpowered and Elementary Audio
- Expertise in creative workflows incorporating AI

The national pay range for this role is $142,500 - $155,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
