Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review of the Company’s consolidated federal income tax return including:
- Schedule M-3 adjustments
- Separate entity and sub-consolidated pro forma Forms 1120
- Supporting schedules and disclosures
- Coordination of info requests and follow-ups with business units
- Responsible for preparation of quarterly and year-end federal income tax provision (ASC-740) calculations as well as assistance with State tax provision.
- Assist in the preparation of the Company’s consolidated and combined state tax returns including:
- Review and analysis of state apportionment data from business unit tax binders
- Maintain nexus study analysis book in good order to maintain registrations and withdrawals, as well as filing positions
- Manage state tax payments in collaboration with Treasury.
- Prepare and review federal quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits as needed
- Support tax planning initiatives and special projects led by the tax management team
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of three years of corporate tax experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. An advanced degree and/or CPA is desirable.
- Experience with federal and state tax return preparation
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with limited supervision
