The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist role at Honeywell will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our sourcing activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory and international trade regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, DFAR, OFAC). You will contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategies that align with regulatory requirements and business goals.
You will report directly to our Sourcing Manager and you’ll work out of our location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and compliance of Honeywell’s supply chain by integrating export control considerations into sourcing decisions, thereby minimizing risk and supporting the company’s operational and regulatory objectives.
Responsibilities- Develop, drive and execute strategic sourcing strategy and plans in adherence with our Annual and Strategic Plan that complies with internal/external regulations and Export Control policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and supply chain to ensure sourcing activities meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships and assess their compliance with export control regulations as well as maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance processes, decisions, and changes.
- Support contract negotiations with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Lead initiatives that promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor changes in export control laws and update sourcing strategies accordingly.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Experience: 5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with specific experience in compliance or regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of import/export regulations, such as ITARS and EAR.
- Proficiency in supplier evaluation and contract management with a focus on productivity and regulatory adherence.
- Ability to interpret and apply export control laws in sourcing decisions.
