Leads global or regional strategic sourcing for direct raw materials, including category strategy, spend analysis, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, cost reduction, and supplier performance. Partners cross-functionally to ensure supply continuity, reduce working capital, eliminate sole-source risks, and execute annual and strategic plans. Ensures procurement compliance with company policies and import/export regulations while managing multiple projects and supplier relationships.

Job purpose:  Establish and drive procurement of direct raw material in alignment with business Leadership for your assigned commodity / category and/or region as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan with a strong focus on R&D iniciatives. You will have global/regional Responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve lowest Total Cost , reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your commodity/category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You will be managing several projects in a dynamic global environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.

  • Manage Site Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
  • Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies
  • Manage Site Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
  • Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships
  • Align with Site Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality and Other Solstice Businesses
  • Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes
Qualifications
  •  University graduate in the fields of Manufacturing, Industrial Eng. technology, Chemicals, Electronics or other relevant fields of study
  • Knowledge of 7 step Strategic Sourcing Strategy Methodology 
  • Minimum of 6+ years experience in Sourcing and procurement including Chemicals buying
  • Knowledge of Chemicals spend and supply base
  • Working and/or Leading in Site Team Environments
  • Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Good analysing skills, communication skills and customer focus/orientation
  • Experience in developing and execution of Sourcing strategies
  • Experience finding and developing new sources of supply
  • And negotiation of Supply agreements and cost reductions
  • SAP and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain/ Procurement/Contract Management
  • Demonstrated Business and financial acumen
  • Experience with SAP or site relevant ERP systems, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools

Skills Required

  • University degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering technology, chemicals, electronics, or a related field
  • Knowledge of the seven-step strategic sourcing methodology
  • At least 6 years of sourcing and procurement experience, including chemicals buying
  • Knowledge of chemicals spend and supply base
  • Experience working in or leading site teams
  • Project management and/or contract management experience
  • Advanced written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer-orientation skills
  • Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies
  • Experience finding and developing new sources of supply
  • Experience negotiating supply agreements and cost reductions
  • SAP and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Professional certification in project management, supply chain, procurement, or contract management
