Responsibilities:
- Own key aspects of the period close process, including journal entries, general ledger mapping, cost accounting, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain supporting schedules for various accounts (e.g., prepaids, fixed assets)
- Drive process improvements and automation within our accounting workflows
- Support audit-readiness by ensuring financials and documentation are complete, consistent, and accurate
- Prepare internal and external financial reports and variance analysis
- Assist in sales tax filings and other compliance requirements
- Provide recurring and ad-hoc analyses to Sales, Operations and Customer Care departments to support informed decision-making
About You:
- 3-6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
- Proven ability to lead month-end close processes and independently reconcile complex accounts with accuracy
- Expert in Excel/Google Sheets and QuickBooks
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Excited to build, document, and improve systems with automation
- Clear communicator who is not afraid to ask questions
- Stays on task while under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Experience working with audit teams
- Bonuses:
