Sr. Solution Engineer

GoodData’s Professional Services team works with our customers to build BI solutions using the GoodData platform; and build and customize analytical / reporting products to implement into clients' internal systems. We play a critical role in managing the technical ins and outs of the implementation, as well as helping our customers realize the powerful business uses of our tools.

We are looking for a skilled BI and/or ETL specialist, willing to join the GoodData team, implementing customer projects on the GoodData BI Platform. You will primarily work in a Senior Solution Engineer role, therefore doing the actual implementation of our projects. On the other hand, your contribution to the overall architecture of the project is expected. There's also an opportunity to participate in the development of a general infrastructure for running the projects or act as a Solution Architect on certain projects.

• Develop and implement BI solutions and analytic applications for accessing and analyzing data.

  • Implementation of a complete Data Pipeline (ETL).

  • Development of data warehouse solution, datamarts.

  • Building data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.

  • Scripting and preparation of automated executions, datamarts provisioning, etc.

  • Automation of infrastructure deployment and operations in Cloud environments.

  • Tune performance and query executions. 

• Providing feedback on project architecture to the Solution Architect.

The ideal candidate is somebody with at least 7 years of relevant work experience.

• Required

  • Very good knowledge of SQL

  • Proven experience with design and implementation of ETL processes

  • Deployment and management expertise for Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure)

  • Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling

  • Logical and analytical thinking, communication skills

  • Good spoken and written English

• Preferred

  • Experience in customer-facing and consulting environment

  • Experience with key components of the modern data stack, including data ingestion, ETL processes, data warehousing solutions, orchestration tools, data visualization platforms, and data governance frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, with the ability to automate, manage, and optimize data workflows for efficiency and reliability

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, ...)

• Knowledge of Web Services, REST

• Advanced experience with Unix environments

• Graphical design experience
