As a Senior Solution Engineer Engineer working with our Resideo Grid Services Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in Resideo's push to influence the planet, climate change, and the homes we live in. You will contribute to software development of load management, energy efficiency, and emerging new load management products that affect millions of homes. You will work closely with the business development team to showcase our technical capability and play a vital role to secure new business deals. You will also support the customer success managers to make sure our clients run programs successfully. You will be working closely with a diverse team of software and hardware engineers, data scientists and analysts, product managers, customer success managers, and business development managers supporting products and features that save Resideo customers energy and money.

JOB DUTIES:

• Design and develop application software supporting load management of distributed energy resources, energy efficiency, telemetry data pipelines from data acquisition, storage, transformation, analysis, to reporting and visualization.
• As a technical expert of Resideo Grid Services platform, attend pre-sale activities and showcase platform capability to secure new business deals and beat competitions.
• Work closely with customer success managers to ensure the success of our partner's programs. Answer questions from and provide guidance to our partners. Feedback to the engineering team on platform enhancements.
• Help answer RFPs and security reviews.
• Be ready as necessary to trouble shoot and mitigate production issues.
• Be a champion of continuous improvements with a customer first mentality.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in software development for distributed systems using .NET, Java, Python, or Angular JS, etc.
• 3+ years of experience developing applications in AWS (strongly preferred) or other public cloud environment.
• Experience developing applications running in Windows and Linux and in Containers/Kubernetes.
• Experience in Web and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of software architecture principles (scalability, fault tolerance, security, cost optimization, etc.)
• Experience in transactional and analytical RDS (e.g., SQL Server, Redshift), NoSQL (e.g., AWS DynamoDB), Object Storage (e.g. AWS S3). Good understanding of data schema design and query performance optimization.
• 3+ years of experience presenting technical contents to external entities virtually or in person, preferably in a pre-sale engineer capacity.

WE VALUE:

• A passion for energy management!
• Experience and knowledge of energy management is huge plus!
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, including Github, Jenkins, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS Cloudformation, etc.).
• Experience with Scrum/Agile software development methodology and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Public cloud certifications.
• Experience with or good understanding of technical product management.
