The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) Engineering organization. As a senior member of a cross-functional Agile team, you will define and execute risk-based quality strategies for industrial software supporting planning, scheduling, optimization, production, and supply chain workflows. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Agile Team Leads, developers, Quality Engineering peers, and Architecture to build quality into every stage of delivery, expand effective automation, and help the team achieve reliable PI objectives.Your Impact- Analyze features, customer workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, architecture, and technical risks to define an appropriate test strategy and coverage.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests across the appropriate layers, including API, integration, system, regression, and user-interface testing.
- Plan and perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, performance, reliability, security, upgrade, smoke, and compatibility testing as appropriate to product risk.
- Collaborate early with Product Owners and developers to improve testability, clarify acceptance criteria, and prevent defects before implementation.
- Own quality activities for complex features from refinement through validation, release readiness, and post-release learning.
- Investigate failures, isolate root causes, communicate product risk, and partner with developers to resolve defects and prevent recurrence.
- Contribute quality estimates, dependencies, risks, and objectives during PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration planning, system demos, and Inspect and Adapt.
- Improve automation frameworks, test data, environments, CI/CD quality gates, reporting, and traceability to increase feedback speed and confidence.
- Mentor quality engineers and developers in testing practices, share domain knowledge, and promote consistent quality patterns across the team.
- Use customer and product knowledge to identify realistic scenarios and continuously improve the team's quality strategy.
