YOUR ROLE

As a Sr.Software Engineer on the Marketplace Team, you’ll be building the product that shapes how enterprises discover and request data, combining usability, automation, and governance in a way no one else is doing. In this role, you’ll have the chance to build solutions that directly influence how organizations unlock value from their data, while contributing to a platform where usability and trust drive every design decision. HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Build Seamless Experiences: Develop features that streamline how enterprises search, request, and gain access to data assets.

Drive Secure Workflows: Design APIs and services that ensure every access decision is scalable, auditable, and trustworthy.

Shape the Platform’s Future: Contribute to architecture decisions and help evolve our system for performance, reliability, and usability.

Enable Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver solutions that balance great UX with strong engineering principles.

Foster Team Growth: Share knowledge, mentor peers, and strengthen our engineering practices through code reviews and technical leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Build and maintain features across both frontend (Angular, Typescript, NestJS) and backend systems that power data discovery, access requests, and approval workflows in Immuta’s Marketplace platform.
Design services and APIs that support secure, scalable, and dynamic data access workflows.
Write testable, maintainable, high-quality code across the stack.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ensure intuitive, user-focused solutions.
Participate in scaling efforts — performance tuning, multi-tenant design, and microservices architecture.
Support team initiatives around CI/CD, DevOps, and developer experience.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

5+ years of experience delivering production-ready software.
Proficiency in Typescript/JavaScript and hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
Experience designing and querying relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
Solid computer science fundamentals — object-oriented design, algorithms, complexity analysis, and design patterns.
Experience building workflow-driven features that balance usability with security.
A passion for crafting seamless experiences — from polished UIs to reliable APIs.
Bonus points for experience with multi-tenant architectures, event-driven systems, microservices, or containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
